Cheers!

Drink up summer savings, thanks to the return of The Passport Program. The offer opens up a world of 2-for-1 craft beer, wine, spirits and cocktails at 64 Denver restaurants and bars. All of the establishments are hand-selected by the program’s city managers and certified to be “the best places to get your booze on.” The passport is valid through Oct. 31 for one twofer offer at each establishment. This summer, there are also four bonus spots with the Stanley Marketplace Field Trip. Plus, passport-holders get exclusive access to giveaways, pop-ups and other perks. Each pass is available online for $25. With a savings of around $500 total, the book is definitely worth the price of admission. Worried about another shutdown? In the event that bars and restaurants close their doors according to federal and/or state regulations, you can get a Passport for the next season, prorated for time lost. There is also a Boulder Passport available – valid at 50 venues. thepassportprogram.com/denver

And more movies …

Going to the movies is tricky this summer. Arapahoe County has devised a unique option with its Pictures on the Plains. Watch a flick from your very own socially-distanced “pod” on the grass. Families are invited to spend a night under the stars at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds on Aug. 12 and watch “Jurassic Park” on the big outdoor screen. Bring a picnic, games, blankets and lawn chairs. Entry opens at 5 p.m., the pre-movie concert (featuring Strings and the Box) starts at 6:30 p.m., and the movie gets rolling at approximately 8:30 p.m. Admission is free. … And a movie just for health care workers

Health care workers deserve a night off. Car-sharing company Turo is honoring their hard work and dedication by sponsoring a Turo at the Movies Tour with free screenings for health care professionals and their guests. The tour makes a Colorado stop on Aug. 31 at the Holiday Twin Drive-In (2206 S. Overland Trail) in Fort Collins. The fun starts at 7 p.m. with the showing of the iconic original “Ghostbusters.” Space is limited and the 300 tickets available (capped at 130 cars) will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Submissions will only be accepted starting Aug. 17. To reserve a spot, e-mail turodrivein@turo.com with an attached photo of your credentials proving you’re a health care worker and Colorado resident. Re-cycled sandwiches

Having a bike opens up a world of adventure, fun and fitness for kids. However, not every child has a bicycle — and that’s where Trips For Kids Denver Metro pedals in to help. The local organization empowers at-risk and disadvantaged youths by giving them access to a bike as a tool for fostering positive life skills. Snarf’s Sandwiches is partnering with the group to encourage more donations. Every Saturday in August, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., donate a geared bicycle at the sub shop’s Denver location at 1490 S. Broadway. In return, Snarf’s will give you a free 7-inch sandwich for each bike you drop off. Now’s the time to clean out the garage or shed and put those old bikes to good use. tripsforkidsdenver.org

Small world

It’s time to play again. The Denver Museum of Miniatures, Toys and Dolls is opening the doors to its new location on Aug. 8. After 35 years in Denver, the family-friendly museum temporarily shuttered. Now, it’s ready to unveil new digs in Lakewood at 830 Kipling St. The museum celebrates and preserves many collections of various toys from the past and present. Permanent exhibits include antique and Japanese dolls and fully furnished miniatures, including dollhouses, a circus, planes and cars. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for children and seniors. Visitors will be required to wear a mask and enter at timed increments. The “tiny” museum is open on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. dmmdt.org
