TOYMASTER PREVIEW: 8th Wonder

Posted by admin on

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, 8th Wonder excels in creating bespoke wooden and plush lines for various big brands. It’s safe to say the company has sky-rocketed in the licensing world since its initial launch into licensing back in the 1990s, with deals with Hey Duggee, Mr Tumble, Go Jetters, Sarah & Duck and Only Fools and Horses in 2018 proving a catalyst for further growth.

Since then, 8th Wonder has formed partnerships with many license powerhouses, working with iconic brands such as Paw Patrol, Barbie, Peppa Pig, Little Tikes, Fisher Price, Jurassic World, Great British Bake Off, In the Night Garden, CoComelon, Bing, L.O.L. Surprise!, My Little Pony, Nerf and Paddington – to name just a few.

Hey Duggee’s partnership with 8th Wonder has gone from strength to strength since its inception back in 2018. Hey Duggee Puzzle Clocks, Shape Sorters, Character Skittles and Sound Puzzles are just a few examples of what 8th Wonder has created to excite fans of the much-loved Hey Duggee brand. As a 2020 Licensing Awards finalist for its Hey Duggee wooden toy range and a recipient of the Creative Play Award for its Hey Duggee Light and Sound Train, 8th Wonder is delighted that its Hey Duggee toys have received the recognition they deserve.

For 2022, 8th Wonder is announcing the Hey Duggee wooden Baking Set, which allows children to cut, stir, and present delicious-looking carrot cupcakes. Fun as well as educational, the Hey Duggee Creation Station will be hitting the shelves later this year. Magnets, activity sheets and a removeable whiteboard accompany the portable tray and will allow Hey Duggee fans to develop their literacy and numeracy skills, imagination, and creativity while on the go.

Barbie is another brand with which 8th Wonder has a proud partnership. The Barbie Floor Standing Easel, Campervan and My Dream Box were last year’s successes. The impressive 2 in 1 Vet and Grooming Station is set to be big this year; it allows aspiring vets to groom and inspect their furry friends as Barbie sits on her chair and accompanies them. With multiple accessories included in the set, kids can weigh, wash and pamper their patients or keep them in the overnight stay section to keep an eye on them.

Peppa Pig can be added to 8th Wonder’s flourishing portfolio. Comprising a charming collection of Peppa Pig plush and wooden toys – including a Peppa Pig Character Warmer, Plush Chair, Campervan Ride On, George Dinosaur Rocker and more – the range continues to make headway in 2022. Ready for aspiring musicians this autumn/winter, 8th Wonder is announcing a Peppa Pig Musical Table, complete with drum, clapper, xylophone, guiro, cymbals and shaker. Whether they want to play in a one-kid band or with their friends, its small size makes it practical to transport anywhere.

Not only will 8th Wonder’s Peppa Pig range boost musical talent, but it will also encourage green fingers with the Peppa Pig Wheelbarrow. With an abundance of educational and creative accessories, this wooden Wheelbarrow will inspire children to explore the garden. Including a selection of wooden vegetables, a plush sunflower, 8 educational cards and equipment to help your plants thrive, it’s the perfect toy for imaginative play.

8th Wonder continues to expand its Paw Patrol range, too, and this year it’s starting the ball rolling with its Paw Patrol Crazy Golf. Testing hand-eye coordination, children can navigate the ball around the course – over the Rolling Hills, SeeSaw, Rainbow Bridge and other obstacles. For hours of educational and creative play there’s the Paw Patrol Creation Station, while for pretend play, the impressive Marshall Deluxe Fire Engine will also be available this year. Children can fight fires with Marshall and drive to emergencies using the steering wheel, moving pedals, gear stick and ignition key. Ready for indoor and outdoor play with its extendable hose, hydrant and several more accessories, it will allow kids to transform into hero firefighters whenever they want.

8th Wonder will be at the Toymaster May Show, 17-19 May, the Majestic Hotel, Harrogate. Contact: Kathryn@8thwonder.co.uk
